Bettina Aust and Christian Aust are naturally curious, daring, and adventurous. Even as a child, Bettina would take apart entire flowerbeds in her mother's garden to uncover the secrets of blooming. Christian instinctively finds unusual places and people both on his travels and in everyday life.

Christian's current favorite place is admiring the freshly cleaned Tintoretto painting in St. Catherine's Church , losing all track of time and space.
