Gallery for one night for the second

At the weekend I was on a flying visit to the“Gallery for one night“. You might remember that in April it was still completely uncertain if galleries, museums and other places would be open. (Click here for the article about the gallery for one night at that time). And indeed they are! “More sea or a little longing” was the title of the short programme which we enjoyed today at the Gallery. Agnes Mann and Johannes Winde presented thoughtful and cheerful aquatic songs that made clear references to the consequences we all feel during the month-long Covid-19 silence.

The duo has already been a guest of Gabi Bannow in Tünkenhagen several times in the past with the More-Sea programme. Most recently last summer.

The guests were simply thrilled. A longing felt for so long, which could finally be satisfied: Live music in this unique environment. In addition, homemade cakes and coffee specialties. Blooming roses above the entrance. What more does it take to be happy?

New contemporary works, of course! Gabi Bannow has used the past months to make portraits. Moods and emotions are reflected in the faces. She seems to have captured moments that have shaped the past few months.

Wondering what you’ll get out of reading an article about a performance that you missed? Well, the gallery featuring Gabi Bannow’s artworks is open for you, the homemade delicacies are just waiting to be eaten with pleasure and Agnes Mann and Johannes Winde were certainly here not for the last time…
